To switch it up, try a different cheese… Pepper Jack, Sharp Cheddar, Gouda, etc. It also helps with consistency to avoid pre-shredded cheese.
DIRECTIONS
Add 1 cup of cheese to biscuit mix and stir to coat.
Whisk the egg and milk together. Then add the milk mixture and melted butter to mix.
Stir just until all flour bits are combined. Avoid over-mixing.
